Do I meet the RAF eyesight requirements for WSO? - difference between -1 and -1.25 myopia

Hello.

I watched the aop.org.uk. RAF '07 PDF rules I am pleased to participate as a WSO (weapons specialist) systems in one or two years. There are some points that I'm not sure, and I do not know how they interpret it. First, here's my recipe for the view from the last month:

SPH: -1,25
Cyl: -0.25
Axis: 180

Nearby: N5

I know that a negative sign indicates a myopic SPH value (and I am with tolerances in that work). I also know that any value and is easily worth an axis of astigmatism, the degree and then, when (in the eye, I think).

) Provided that no further deterioration in the I (my eyes 20 years and we hope it has stabilized, I would not if I have a chance, and I know there are optometrists Clockere! A link to the PDF table are here:
http://www.aop.org.uk/uploaded_files/raf_july_07.pdf

My myopia is OK, astigmatism, but I'm not sure. The graph shows a positive value of astigmatism, while my recipe shows a negative value. I searched the Internet and the general opinion is that + or - does not matter in this regard. However, which in the present, for whatever reason, making the astigmatism?

And finally, refers also to believe the astigmatism axis value. The graph shows the pilots and 120 for the WSOP, but there is no added value (just a dash) to the WSO and linguists, it means be valid does not matter. Or does it mean to be normal? And I have a "close", the result is, WWHAT is N5. What does this mean? And yet the letter of reference, my vision, then OK. What is the difference between the N5 and normal.

Sorry for the long question, but is it really about me. And I want to know a realistic result. There is no answer with the words "go to an AFCO, or just apply anyway, because they do not help me. Thanks!

The reason can not answer it probably is, that nobody outside of the response that you do not want to be. Your question is complex, why not with AFCO? They only know the limits, why people are afraid to go here, so the AFCO? Even if someone came and said: "Yes mate that's fine." You end up going to the AFCO anyway, and if someone says: "No chance mate" do you think really believe. This is why so many of us are told to go to the AFCO. They are behind the desk is probably knows no boundaries, but they will send you an eye exam they want.

Go to your AFCO, which are very helpful - I have a few questions and get answers to each.
